As Principal of GGS Consulting, Genevieve thrives on exploring the diversity of nonprofit organizations and community projects in the region. Genevieve approaches each organization with an eye for identifying the unique opportunities and challenges faced by contemporary nonprofits during a fiscally-challenging era. By using a combination of careful analysis, organization visioning and dynamic strategic planning, Genevieve works closely with board directors and staff members to provide each organization with a clear, pragmatic path forward as it strives to achieve its mission.
Genevieve works in the San Francisco Bay Area with a variety of nonprofit organizations and local community groups, helping them to plan and shape their course to achieve highly-functioning and effective operational, communications and development plans. Additionally, she is has moved her workshops and board retreats to online forums to serve organizations at locations far and wide, removing the need for them to travel long distances. Genevieve is a founding board member of the Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance (TVNPA), having served for seven years as the organization’s volunteer Board Director of Marketing. She also serves young children and families in the Tri-Valley and Eastern Alameda County as a certified early childhood educator representative and secretary of the board of directors for the Community Association for Preschool Education Head Start/Early Start Programs (CAPE, Inc.).
A graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and European Cultural History from University of California at Berkeley, Genevieve has brought her love for world cultures, children’s music and literacy, and play-based education to many early childhood classrooms throughout the East Bay. As a local children’s storyteller and performer familiar to families throughout the region, Genevieve has inspired a love of reading and hands-on learning in thousands of children over the span of her career.
When Genevieve is not found voraciously reading local library collections, she can be found enjoying live music performances throughout the Bay Area or out hiking the trails of the East Bay Regional Parks and Sierra Nevada with her husband and two daughters. Genevieve weaves her love of the outdoors, the written word, live music and photography into all of her creative endeavors.
